I have been to Tutucorin, Tamil nadu couple of times but never had an opportunity to stop and observe how the salt has been cultivated.
When my friend offered to stop by one of the many salt lakes used to cultivate salt I couldn’t be happier.
This brief 20 minutes visit in to the normal work day of these workers gave us an insight of the hardship they go through in the extreme conditions and some facts about salt production. Tamil nadu is the 2 largest salt producing state in India
