I noticed Gompas such as this one in every nook and corner while travelling in and around Ladakh. Was told that they were a part of the tradition in that region. They came in all colours, some freshly painted ,some completely dilapidated and about to collapse. No matter what state they were in our driver (his name was Lotus 🙂 ) made sure he bowed down in prayer at every single one of them.Almost all of the Buddhists that we met on the way seemed to be very spiritual and live fully and naturally in accordance with the Buddhist vision.
